Our completely revised homepage has been online for you since March 26th, 2024. We hope you enjoy it.
What has changed? Actually everything.
Until now it was actually just a "blog page" with a few static information, but we have now decided to focus more on "background knowledge" on our new homepage. Of course you can also find current news here, but we mainly publish “current news” via our FaceBook Side. As has already been practiced in recent years. In addition to our FaceBook page, there is also a FaceBook Group that is mainly about our Scottish Days. But you have to register for them.
Back to the new homepage. You can immediately see that you are dealing with a completely different and somewhat more modern look. In addition to the clan history, there is now also information about the clan country in Scotland, about the origins of the "Friends" in Germany, about our friendly clans, about Scotland in general and much more. Of course, the homepage is now also “smartphone compatible”. Just let yourself be surprised while browsing.
If something doesn't work or you find a serious error or you just want to tell us your opinion, please let us know. We look forward to any advice and criticism. The best way to do this is to use our contact form or the contact sources you know. Thanks for that in advance.

You may also have noticed that a strange address appeared at the top of the header, even though you started via the familiar address clanmaclaren.org or clanmaclaren.de.
That's right at first.
This is an "alternate address" and will change again soon.
The background to this is very simple. A new homepage is always designed and tested on a “test system”. However, we were in such a "tunnel" when creating the new homepage that we didn't even pay attention to whether the new homepage (with the latest "software language", database, etc.) was even running on our current server. And unfortunately that's exactly what she doesn't do. Of course, our current server will be updated in a timely manner and then everything will run as intended. However, we wanted to publish our new site before Easter. Hence the different address.
However, that shouldn't take away the fun of simply having a look everywhere.
