Welcome to the Friends of Clan MacLaren in Germany

We are a funny group that is dedicated to “the Scottish”. And we do this in solidarity with the Clan MacLaren.

Our main interest is to bring you closer to Scottish culture, to show how great the country and the people can be and which prejudices are just prejudices.

We meet once a month for a get-together. Actually. Because we are currently looking for new rooms for the regulars' table. If we were successful, you will find out here on the homepage.

Our sports team, which took part in the Highland Games until 2019, unfortunately had to disband in the last 4 years. But we are working on a restart.

That's why we don't have any regular meetings at the moment, but you can always find us at various Highland Games in Germany. We can often be found there with a Clan tent in the respective “clan village” with many other Scottish clan representatives. Just stop by. Among other things, the plans include:

• the Highland Gatherings in Peine (04.-05.05.)
• the scottish Festival in Goch (15.-16.06.)
• the british Weekend in Bad Lippspringe (17.-18.08.)
• die internationalen Highland Games in Trebsen (21.-22.09.)
• and the Highland Games of Burg Vondern (28.-29.09.)

In addition to taking part in other Highland Games, we also hold our own "Scottish Days" once a year. This year they will take place on August 31st - September 1st. in Wuppertal at the Bundeshöhe. Take a look.
