Terms and conditions for the pipe competition of the Friends of Clan MacLaren e.V.

The PipeCompetition is scheduled to take place on August 31, 2024 between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The award ceremony is planned for 6 p.m.

The following categories are offered: In the “Solo Pipe Competition” area in Grade5 the categories “Slow Air or Slow March” and “March (2/4, 3/4, 4/4 or 6/8)”. In Grade 4 the categories "2/4 March", "Strathspey/Reel" and "6/8 March". In the “Pipe Band Competition” section, the “Quintet” category. The participation fee is €10.00 for each Solo Pipe Competition and €35.00 for the Pipe Band Competition.

The current BAG e.V. rules apply. In addition, the following rules apply:

• In order for a category to be created, at least 4 participants (solo) or 3 groups (band) must be registered.
• The first 3 places receive a trophy. Further placements receive a certificate.
• Registration is only binding with written confirmation (email) from Friends of Clan MacLaren e.V. and receipt of the participation fee.
• The competitions are carried out in order. This will be announced at the welcome. There is no exact time sequence, just approximate times.
• The Friends of Clan MacLaren e.V. is free to change the order of the categories or to eliminate them completely without giving reasons. If a category is cancelled, the registration fee for this will be refunded. There is no right to compensation beyond this.
• There is no “ban” for the first place winners from the last years “Beginner Competition”.
• By paying the registration fee, the participant/quintet agrees that image and sound recordings may be made by him/her during the pipe competition and used for public relations work by the Friends of Clan MacLaren e.V.
